Herman the baseball player Herman the cowboy Herman the Golfer Sensitive Herman Herman the Star In the color pilot episode, Herman took on a bluish tint. His makeup was somewhat different. His overhanging forehead was raised up in the center. In the black and white episodes, the makeup artists added large black spots for his nostrils and a shadow under his bottom lip that made it appear that his mouth protruded. Fred Gwynne regretted his escapades as Herman Munster. He felt the role type-casted him to the point he couldn't get serious roles the remainder of his life. He was doomed to voice overs for Hardees commercials. |
